We came across this colorful playground on a gray November day. There was nothing exceptionally exciting about it, but it was a great neighborhood playground.
This was a quick stop for us because ultimately our three-year-old simply got bored. The climbing equipment had plenty of options like slides and stairs and ladders, but overall, nothing too special about it.
The equipment was generally in good condition and the colors were somewhat unique – this was not a color scheme we've seen often around the city.
The sensory panels were plentiful but didn't do a whole lot.
Overall, nice enough as a local playground but not worth going out of your way to visit.
Opened in 1947, it was originally named for PS 166, the adjacent school, but then sometime later renamed after the street, 35 Avenue.
