This relatively boring playground held little interest for our toddler, and it's hard to imagine who the target audience is.
There's simply not much to do here. Don't get me wrong, I love concrete park animals, but the single, lonely seal doesn't quite make a playground.
The swings are fine for toddlers, but again I wonder who is using them. In the height of summer, this unshaded playground is way too hot– and being close to the water makes it windy and cold in the winter.
I'm sure this is a safe alternative to cool off for kids afraid of swimming in the ocean, assuming the water works. We were there too early in the season for it to be turned on.
It's located just a block from Surf Playground, a newly renovated space, and a much nicer playground. The best part of this playground was the concrete seal, but probably not worth a trip.
Named for the Greek god of the sea (with Neptune, the Roman counterpart), this ocean-side playground was last rebuilt in 1995.
