This was a pleasant playground to be in with plenty of sensory panels.
The playground was definitely better suited to younger children. The equipment designed for older kids was awkward and cheap, with too much emphasis on hanging and pull up bars. But the equipment for tots was perfect with plenty of space to run around with different access points.
The little painted roadway proved a perfect place for scooting. It was a popular park though, and became a bit crowded for going all out.
The on-theme taxi cab benches were fun, but not entirely practical. At least an effort was made.
It was a lovely spot to sit. We met up with friends with a younger child, and had a nice time sitting in the park. Its a great asset to the neighborhood.
Originally the park was created as part of the Prospect Expressway project. That first version was demolished and moved to make room for Middle School 88. For a while it was known as Greenwood Playground, after the nearby cemetery, but was renamed Slope Park after a renovation a few years later.
