We came here to pass the time, and it proved a bit more entertaining than I expected for such a pint-sized playground.
The playground is definitely on the smaller side and meant for smaller children, but as a community center in the central business district, its a great little addition to the neighborhood. The novelty of it was great for us, though I suspect more regular users would tire of it quickly. Nevertheless, its central to the subway and the other businesses along Cortelyou Road.
We were meeting up with my wife, who had done some volunteering earlier in the morning, and I expected the stop over all the playground to be a quick one. But it held our toddler's interest for a while because there was plenty of places to climb. Given how small the space is, the tower gets pretty high, and even adults are able to get up there.
The playground is quite compact but they have squeezed a lot of elements into it.
The playground was renovated and rebuilt in 2017 for just under $1m.
